How we got here

What made us start Party On? Well, I will tell you.

I’ve always loved hosting parties and there is something magical about making a unique experience for your guests every time. I got really into making and acquiring decorations for every event we had. I got sick of spending so much time finding cool stuff that didn’t look like I’d grabbed it from the party aisle at Target.

I was also horrified by the bags of garbage that piled up after a party. Waking up the next morning to ghost balloons floating in midair and soggy streamers hanging from fences from the overnight dew. Going around, popping all of the balloons, ripping down paper decorations, not to mention bagging paper plates and forks with half eaten cake pieces and stale beer in plastic cups.

That’s when the guilt really set in for me. All of that for one night?

Anything that I thought I could reuse started to build into a collection. I now needed to find a home for all of this party stuff in our apartment. My closets were getting out of control and my husband was getting irritated.

I love making every event we hosted new and different. It always seemed out of reach to rent decorations just for a backyard shindig. That’s reserved for BIG things, like weddings and family reunions.

That’s when I thought, what if it was more affordable to rent for smaller gatherings? What if I didn’t have to waste so much and create an even cooler experience than before. AND you don’t have to find a place in your closet or garage to store it - especially since you may not even use it again.

That’s how Party On was born. I want everyone to have magical parties that are affordable and sustainable. Why can’t we have our cake and eat it too?
